An allegation has emerged that will shake the backstage regarding the absolute nullity case in the CHP. It has been claimed that former Chairman Kılıçdaroğlu will take office after the Ramadan Feast and will expel the mayors on trial, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, from the party until they are acquitted.
In the CHP, while there is curiosity about how the absolute nullity case will conclude, a claim that will shake the corridors in Ankara has emerged, stating that Kılıçdaroğlu will return to the leadership of the CHP.
THE CLAIM THAT "KILIÇDAROĞLU WILL RETURN TO THE LEADERSHIP OF CHP"
Speaking on TGRT News, Fatih Atik suggested that the absolute nullity case would become clear after the Ramadan Feast and that the court would rule in favor of absolute nullity.
"IF HE COMES, HE WILL EXPEL THE DETAINED MAYORS"
Atik claimed that either Kılıçdaroğlu would return to the leadership of the CHP, or the CHP administration would be changed with a temporary committee. He asserted that if Kılıçdaroğlu comes to power, all mayors who are on trial, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, would be expelled from the party until they are acquitted.
ABSOLUTE NULLITY CASE
The case opened for the annulment of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress in 2023 and the 21st Extraordinary Congress in 2025, due to allegations of irregularities, was based on the claim that the administration and the chairman elected in these congresses were invalid due to "absolute nullity" (considered invalid from the beginning); the case was heard in the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance, and the court rejected the case on the grounds of lack of active dispute and lack of subject matter. Therefore, as of now, the results of the congress and the current party administration maintain their legal validity; however, since the decision has been appealed, the process continues in the higher court.
