Galatasaray President Dursun Aydın Özbek met with members of the press and denied reports that some players had not received their payments. Özbek stated that salaries are paid regularly, saying, "If you make baseless claims, you create such crises. These are completely false. There are bonus and incentive clauses, and we pay all of them on time. Galatasaray has no overdue payments, there is not a single lira that is past due."
Galatasaray President Dursun Aydın Özbek met with members of the press at an iftar invitation. Making statements regarding the agenda, Dursun Özbek also responded to claims that salaries were paid 2-3 months late.
'UĞURCAN WAS THE BEST CHOICE'
In response to a question about the transfer fee paid for Uğurcan Çakır, Dursun Özbek said, 'Yes, we paid a good transfer fee for Uğurcan, but Uğurcan's salary is much lower compared to the other goalkeeper candidates. Therefore, it is a more economical investment in the long run. At that time, Uğurcan Çakır was the best choice. In my opinion, Uğurcan made an excellent contribution. I'm glad we got him. If this were a club owned by me, I would spend more freely, but we are here to serve. We think and account for every single penny of Galatasaray 80 times before spending it. You can be sure of that.' he said.

Stating that the players' salaries are paid on time, Özbek denied the claims by saying, "If you throw things out of your mouth, you create such crises. Galatasaray is an elite team composed of world-class footballers. You cannot manipulate these players with words. If players do not receive their salaries for two or three months, they will not take the field. Such news is an insult to the professionalism of our players. These are completely false. There are bonus and incentive clauses, and we pay all of them on time. Galatasaray has no overdue debts, not even one lira." he stated.
"WE WILL LEAVE A COMFORTABLE PICTURE"
Emphasizing that they are meticulous about payments, Özbek said, "As you know, there is an election at the end of the season. I particularly paid attention to this management, we committed to completing the transfer expenses during our term. We have fulfilled more than 90% of the transfer payments for the transfers we made. We will leave a comfortable picture for the next administration." he stated.
