A corpse was found inside a parked car at a rest area in Afyonkarahisar, where it had been for about 5 days.
Since February 11, Wednesday, the staff of a rest facility in the Sandıklı district of Afyonkarahisar reported the situation to the gendarmerie after suspecting the condition of a car that had been parked there.
FIRE DEPARTMENT OPENED THE DOORS, A CORPSE WAS FOUND INSIDE
Upon receiving the notification, the teams that arrived at the scene informed the fire department when they could not reach the owner of the vehicle, which had tinted windows, by phone. The fire department teams, using special equipment, opened the doors of the vehicle. The gendarmerie teams found the lifeless body of the vehicle's owner, a 45-year-old man named Mehmet Evirgen, in the back seat of the car.
THE CAUSE OF DEATH WILL BE DETERMINED IN AUTOPSY
It was determined that the individual had lost his life 5 days ago. While the gendarmerie teams conducted a detailed examination of the vehicle, the deceased was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution's morgue for the determination of the cause of death. An investigation has been initiated by the prosecutor's office regarding the incident.
