It was announced that Israeli forces, which occupy Palestinian territories, raided the town of Mihmas in northeastern occupied East Jerusalem on the first day of Ramadan. ATTACKS AND STOLEN ANIMALS
In a statement from the Jerusalem Governorate, it was reported that 200 sheep belonging to Palestinians were also stolen during the attack. The fact that the incident occurred on the first day of Ramadan further increased tensions in the region.
TENSIONS RISE IN THE WEST BANK
Following Israel's operations launched in October 2023 in the Gaza Strip, violations in the West Bank have increased. It was noted that incidents such as killings, arrests, and forced displacements continue in the area where the attack took place. Additionally, it was reported that a large number of Palestinians were detained in the city of Hebron.
HUMANITARIAN ISSUES DEEPEN
With the start of Ramadan, serious difficulties are being experienced regarding food and basic needs. Many people in Gaza express that aid is insufficient as they enter Ramadan under the shadow of attacks. This situation has led the public to rely on aid organizations for support for iftar and sahur.
