The incident took place at 14:30 in Mehmet Akif Neighborhood, Karanfil Street, Küçükçekmece, Istanbul, in the basement of a 4-story building. According to allegations, a foreign national woman living in the same house with her mother-in-law and father-in-law had an argument with her husband for this reason. The woman wanted to leave the house as the argument escalated. When the husband did not allow his wife to leave, the argument between the couple turned into a fight. Allegedly, the woman tried to attack her husband with a knife, but the man took the knife from her hand and killed his wife by stabbing her in the neck.

The son, who saw his father stabbing his mother, attacked his father with a knife and seriously injured him. Upon notification, a large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. In the examination by the medical team, it was learned that the woman died at the scene. The mother's relatives who came to the scene were drowned in tears. The seriously injured man was taken to Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital by ambulance. The son who severely injured his father was taken into custody by the police.
