A female lawyer accuses a businessman and her fiancé of "rape."

Lawyer M.Ö. claimed that she was raped by Özkan Ü., who she went to visit at his home. Following M.Ö.'s complaint, Özkan Ü. was detained and arrested. The prosecution alleged that Özkan Ü. was assisted in the alleged 'sexual assault' crime by his fiancée Melis Ö. A lawsuit was filed against businessman Özkan Ü. with a request for a prison sentence of up to 12 years.

THEY MET AT A NIGHTCLUB

According to the case heard at the 36th High Criminal Court of Istanbul, the incident in question occurred on the night of July 25. About 8-9 months before the incident, lawyer M.Ö. met Özkan Ü. and his fiancée Melis Ö. at a nightclub with her boyfriend. On the evening of July 25, lawyer M.Ö. went to the mentioned venue alone.

INVITATION TO HOME AT MIDNIGHT

Seeing that Özkan Ü. and Melis Ö., who operate in the decorative paint sector, were at the venue along with a friend of theirs, M.Ö. spent some time partying with them. After a while, Özkan Ü. and his fiancée Melis Ö. left the venue and sent a message inviting M.Ö. to their home.

"HE CAME TO THE ROOM I WENT TO SLEEP IN"

According to a report by Halk TV, M.Ö. went to the couple's home in Beşiktaş Arnavutköy and chatted with them until 5:00 AM. During this time, all three continued to consume alcoholic beverages. In her complaint to the prosecutor's office, M.Ö. stated that she felt weak after this period and could no longer stand. M.Ö. further stated in her petition that Özkan Ü. came to the room she went to sleep in. M.Ö. claimed that despite her resistance, she was subjected to qualified sexual assault by this person.

"WE ENGAGED IN RELATIONS WITH HER CONSENT"

M.Ö. filed a criminal complaint six days after the incident. Özkan Ü., who was taken into custody as a suspect, claimed that M.Ö. was very drunk when she came to their home. Özkan Ü. alleged that she asked them if they had any drugs at home. Özkan Ü. stated that he had a sexual encounter with M.Ö. but insisted that it was consensual.

"WE TALKED ABOUT SEXUAL MATTERS"

Melis Ö. stated that after M.Ö. came to their home, they started chatting and eventually began discussing sexual matters. Melis Ö. claimed that her fiancée and M.Ö. had a sexual encounter. She expressed that she was not in the adjacent room during their encounter but could hear them.

A LAWSUIT WAS FILED AGAINST THE ENGAGED COUPLE

After the prosecution's inquiry, Melis Ö. was released under judicial control. Özkan Ü. was arrested on August 7. Following the investigation, a lawsuit was filed against Özkan Ü. and Melis Ö. for 'qualified sexual assault.' According to the charge, Özkan Ü. faces a prison sentence of at least 12 years. For Melis Ö., a prison sentence of 6 to 8 years is sought. Özkan Ü., who was in custody, was released after the first hearing. The second hearing of the case was held yesterday.
