In an incident that occurred at a car wash in Mersin, security camera footage has emerged showing one of the young individuals who lost their life taking a parked car and bringing it inside. It has been reported that the carbon monoxide gas emitted from the vehicle's exhaust, as reflected in the footage, is believed to have caused the deaths of the young people.
The incident occurred at a car wash located in the Sağlık neighborhood of the central Toroslar district at night. After families who could not reach their children reported the situation, police teams went to the shop belonging to Arda G. (22), the owner of the business. Noticing that the shop's shutter was closed but hearing the sound of a vehicle inside, the teams entered and found one young person lying motionless outside and three inside the car.
4 YOUNG PEOPLE DIED IN THE CAR
It was also determined that a dog had died at the workplace. Medical teams called to the scene confirmed that the young people had lost their lives. Upon investigation, it was determined that the deceased young people were Arda G. (22), Yiğithan U. (25), Abdulvahit B. (25), and Batuhan A. (18).
SUSPECT OF "CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING"
The bodies of the young people were taken to the Mersin City Hospital morgue for the determination of the exact cause of death. Initial reports suggest that the incident occurred due to carbon monoxide poisoning from the vehicle, while it was stated that the exact causes of death would be clarified after the autopsy.

Security camera footage showing the four young people's car being taken from its parked position and brought inside has emerged. In the footage, one of the young people is seen approaching the vehicle and then going into the shop where the car entered, opening and closing the door.
