FLAMES ENGULFED THE SECOND FLOOR

The incident occurred at night in a building in the town of Thusis, whose ground floor was used as a restaurant and upper floors as apartments. The fire, which started on the second floor of the restaurant for a reason not yet determined, quickly engulfed the entire structure. Nearly 100 firefighters, who almost staged a landing in the area upon the notification, raced against time to bring the flames under control.

14 PEOPLE SAVED THEMSELVES: CONDITION OF 2 INJURED IS SERIOUS

In a statement made by the police, it was reported that 14 people managed to escape from the building. It was learned that of those who managed to get out during the terrifying moments, 2 were in serious condition, 2 in moderate condition, and 4 were slightly injured. The injured, who received first aid at the scene, were taken to hospitals in Chur, Thusis, Ilanz, and Zurich by ambulances for treatment.
