In Aydın, convict Murat B., 42, who was brought from Nazilli Open Penal Institution to Nazilli State Hospital for treatment, escaped from the hospital where he was being treated.
A convict who was referred from a prison to a hospital in the Nazilli district of Aydın went missing during his treatment. Security forces launched a large-scale operation to capture the fugitive prisoner.
REFERRED TO HOSPITAL AFTER BROKEN ARM
According to the information obtained, 42-year-old Murat B., who was held in Nazilli Open Penal Institution for a crime he committed, was referred to the Orthopedics Service of Nazilli State Hospital in the morning hours to receive treatment for a fracture in his arm.
ESCAPED WHILE RECEIVING TREATMENT
While his procedures and treatment at the hospital were ongoing, Murat B. escaped from the hospital and disappeared. After the situation was noticed, hospital officials immediately notified the security forces.
CAPTURE EFFORTS CONTINUE
Upon the notification, police and gendarmerie teams went on alert and started efforts to capture the fugitive prisoner around the hospital and throughout the district. The teams' search and capture operations in the region are ongoing.
