A fire broke out on the third floor of a three-story building in Fatih, Istanbul, in the morning hours. Many citizens were trapped due to the fire. One person lost their life, and seven others were injured, one of them seriously.
A fire broke out on the third floor of a three-story building in the Ayvansaray neighborhood of Fatih in the morning hours.
CITIZENS TRAPPED
The fire occurred around 07:00 in Düriye Street, Ayvansaray neighborhood of Fatih district. The fire, which broke out for an unknown reason, completely engulfed the third floor and the roof of the building. Many citizens were trapped inside the building. Upon the notification of the residents who saw the thick smoke and flames, a large number of health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Teams initiated intense work in the building where thick smoke had formed.
SAD NEWS FROM THE FIRE
After being rescued, the trapped citizens were transferred to health teams and taken to the nearest state hospital in the area. According to initial determinations, 1 person lost their life, and 7 people were injured, one of them seriously, in the fire. While the detailed examinations by health and fire teams at the scene continue, an investigation has been initiated regarding the fire.
