INTERVENTION CONTINUES FOR THE FIRE THAT SPREAD TO THE FORESTED AREA
The fire that started in agricultural land in the Gerenköy area of İzmir's Foça district at 14:25 in the afternoon quickly spread to the nearby forested area. Teams from the İzmir Regional Directorate of Forestry are conducting intensive work both from the air and the ground to bring the fire under control.
So far, 2 planes, 5 helicopters, 20 water tankers, 5 water supply vehicles, and 1 bulldozer from the İzmir Regional Directorate of Forestry have been assigned to combat the fire. The teams are making continuous efforts to prevent the flames from spreading further and to extinguish the fire as quickly as possible.
