The General Directorate of the Mint and Stamp Printing House, affiliated with the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, has reissued coins that have not been in circulation for a while. A total of 240,000 coins of 1 kuruş, 180,000 coins of 5 kuruş, and 360,000 coins of 10 kuruş were minted. Thus, in September, the total amount of small change coins reached 54 million 210 thousand lira.

The General Directorate of the Mint has minted small coins, commonly known as change, which had not been produced for 8 months, and reintroduced them into circulation. A total of 240,000 pieces of 1 kuruş, 180,000 pieces of 5 kuruş, and 360,000 pieces of 10 kuruş were minted.
CLAIMS THAT "50 KURUŞ WILL NOT BE MINTED" HAVE BEEN DISPROVEN
Some publications had claimed that "50 kuruş will not be minted due to increased costs," but these claims were denied by sources. According to the Mint's data, 990,000 pieces of 50 kuruş were minted in September. Thus, in September, a total of 54 million 210 thousand lira worth of small coins were minted.
BASELESS CLAIMS ARE CIRCULATING
Claims that the production of coins has stopped or will stop due to rising costs occasionally arise. However, the latest data release has shown that all these claims are false and baseless, and they should not be taken seriously.
