In his statements at the MHP group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli said, "Trump and Netanyahu have overlooked the fact that hegemony based on coercion is unsustainable and have made a lesson-worthy mistake. The Trump administration will have to face the realities."
The Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahçeli, made striking evaluations regarding current issues at his party's parliamentary group meeting. Bahçeli, who dedicated a significant part of his speech to the war that has been ongoing in our region for 39 days, stated that Trump and Netanyahu made a remarkable mistake.
In his speech, Bahçeli said, "We are at a historical turning point where the value system in the world has collapsed, and great narratives have failed. In this period, where the global order is deeply shaken, we must make our decisions with a shared responsibility in light of this reality. At the moments of historical rupture, the most effective security is the one based on a common will within national unity. This is our moral and conscientious responsibility. The conflicts we are experiencing show that the old has not completely died, and the new has not yet been born. This is precisely a state of crisis. Every crisis period is a threshold. Global organizations have lost their functionality and their ability to produce solutions. Trump and Netanyahu have ignored that hegemony based on coercion is unsustainable and have made a remarkable mistake. They continue to make this mistake. Their vocabulary has run out, and the end of the road is visible for Western reasoning. My valued comrades, we commemorate our late leader, Alparslan Türkeş Bey, who left indelible marks in the collective memory of the Turkish nation, transcended ages with his ideas, and inscribed the cause of the Turkish nation in the spiritual skies of our people with his struggle, on the 29th anniversary of his passing, with mercy and gratitude. Türkeş Bey was an exceptional statesman and a man of cause who took Turkish nationalism out of a theoretical framework and rooted it in the conscience of the nation as a sociological reality and historical continuity, turning it into a moral order, an action discipline, and a civilizational claim. The late Türkeş Bey always prioritized national wisdom in every phase of his life, understood the state with the consciousness of eternal existence, and represented a political understanding that placed the nation at the center without compromise. He was a man of difficult times. He was the unwavering will of stormy periods. He was a torch lit against dark scenarios. He neither bowed to threats nor bent at the doors of interests. He defended the values he believed in under all circumstances, prioritizing the unity, integrity, and survival of the Turkish nation above all political calculations. The Turkish Unity and Turan ideal that he dreamed of and entrusted to us will, with God's permission, surely come to life. It will become a reality. Because the great Turkish nation has the will to build its future with the power it derives from its past. With these feelings and thoughts, I once again commemorate our late leader, Alparslan Türkeş Bey, on the 29th anniversary of his passing with respect and mercy.
"THE GLOBAL ORDER HAS BEEN DEEPLY SHAKEN"
My valued comrades, it is well known to everyone that we are in a historical period where the value system in the world has collapsed, and great narratives have failed. The meaning codes constructed and built by the old order have disappeared, but new forms of sovereignty have not come into effect as they exist only in imagination. In this period, where the global order is deeply shaken and the meaning system is disrupted, we must make our decisions with a shared responsibility, keeping this reality in mind. At various moments of historical rupture, the most effective security is the one based on a common will within national unity and solidarity. And this is the common intelligence, moral, and conscientious responsibility of all of us. The global and regional instability we witness today, the conflicts we experience, are evidence that the old has not completely died, and the new has not yet been born. This is, in every sense of the word, a state of crisis. A crisis is not about not knowing what the problems are, but about not knowing what the solutions are. However, every crisis period is, on the other hand, a threshold.
"WITHIN THE NEW WORLD ORDER."
With the People's Alliance, the constructive relationships established by the Republic of Turkey will hopefully turn this threshold into a target for the stability of the region. For the global organizations that we thought had institutionalized after World War II have lost their functionality and their ability to produce solutions to crises with a common mind. The hegemony achieved on a global scale has lost its moral and ideological reference patterns, the understanding of producing consent has disappeared, and this situation has evolved into the understanding that the strong is right, rather than the right being strong, leading to unrest and the normalization of violence.
"THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION WILL HAVE TO CONFRONT REALITY"

As I expressed last week, it is expected that the sensible Jews of the world will loudly voice their objections against Netanyahu's Zionist ideological mentality. For these reasons, it is imperative to examine every issue in depth and draw conclusions as close to the truth as possible. This is also the requirement of principled and consistent politics towards our nation. The new world order, which constitutes the content of many issues whose footsteps we have heard over the past 20 years, today presents itself not as an order but as chaos. This chaos affects humanity, innocent people are dying, and a world of instability is deeply shaking the globe. In the words of modern thinkers, today's world situation resembles a period of stagnation, leading us back to the painful, conflict-ridden days of the past rather than a vision of the future. Indeed, the tensions and hot conflicts experienced on a global scale are deepening day by day.
"IRAN'S RESISTANCE WILL DISSOLVE TRUMP'S PREDICTIONS"
The United States continues to engage in mutual attacks on the 39th day of the Israel-Iran war, and unfortunately, it seems that these attacks, which lack legitimacy and suspend human dignity, honor, and pride, will persist. The attacks against Iran are increasing both the loss of life and the destruction of infrastructure day by day. Iran is being pushed into a deadlock by the destructive power of Israel and the United States. Despite all these multifaceted pressures and siege attempts, the resilience, determination, endurance, and social reflex of the Iranian people have drawn the attention of the world public. This will of resistance has been met with astonishment in international circles and has nullified the predictions of many political actors, especially Trump. The conflict focused on the Strait of Hormuz is feeding an energy crisis on one hand while affecting supply chains on the other, dragging this issue into a dark and uncertain future day by day. This war, which deepens an unpredictable instability in the world, also demonstrates the ineffectiveness of international organizations in mediating for lasting peace.
Esteemed members of parliament, dear comrades in the cause, whenever we talk about time, space, and humanity, we are actually referring to the historical existence of humanity. Humanity is a historical being. Because the decisions made by our ancestors form the general framework of what we are experiencing today. The decisions we will make based on historical memory will also guide the future of our nation. With the awareness of this reality, it is undoubtedly the shared responsibility of everyone who claims to engage in politics to carefully analyze the symptoms of today's world situation with such a national consciousness and sentiment and to examine them rationally. In this period we are going through, we bear a historical and moral responsibility more than ever. Because today, with the decisions we make, we will determine the lives of future generations, either establishing a happy and peaceful future for them or leaving a bad legacy as burdens they struggle to cope with. The national culture distilled from the experiences of history assures us of this: the true source of all success, all power, and authority is the nation itself. That is why we must conduct the life of the state and the nation harmoniously, just as the hour hand and the minute hand move together.
"CHP ACTS WITH A SIMPLE AND SELFISH ATTITUDE"
At the beginning of the 20th century, while the borders of the Middle East were being reshaped, the intellect that disrupted the games and built the Republic with a pure and clear will continues to exist today as a stronger will of the Republic, ready to disrupt any game with the same determination and consciousness in an era where imperialism has re-emerged under different masks in the Turkish Century. As stated by the thinker and activist Dündar Taşer, we are a nation that has gone through great disasters, faced terrible calamities, and shown a superior will to live and resilience against all these. This will to live and resilience commands us to look to the future with hope. It is our shared responsibility to systematically analyze every event occurring both in the world and in the region and to examine them rationally. However, even in such a reality, the Republican People's Party, which leads the opposition today, is producing words instead of politics and acting with a simple and selfish attitude instead of contributing to the solution of problems. They are devoid of the understanding of what is most valuable for the nation, seeking refuge in various global centers, and looking for the right person at the wrong address. This understanding, which has distanced itself from reality, deals with leaves rather than roots, turns its back on the truth, and surrenders to a discourse that has completed its life in the virtual realm. The understanding that has lost the ability to knead thoughts with the yeast of reason evaluates the agenda of the country, region, and world according to simple interests, presenting a picture detached from the state, the nation, and realities.
On the other hand, we are deeply saddened to see that some mayors representing the mentality of the Republican People's Party have reached a stage of decay and are exploiting the positions entrusted to them by the nation in every aspect. In this historical period our nation is going through, merely diagnosing the situation is nothing but a shortcut. The essence is to produce solutions and take responsibility, which is exactly the approach we, as the Nationalist Movement Party, have put forward. Indeed, there is no need to wear a politician's shirt just to list threats. Esteemed members of parliament, dear comrades in the cause, as we all know very well, the Nationalist Movement Party expresses an idea when it says, "first my country and my nation, then my party and myself." It expresses common sense, not propaganda based on rhetoric. It does not wage war on the realm of values; it produces policies based on values, does not feed on problems, and strives to produce solutions to problems. As a social structure based on common culture, the nation and nationalism as its language are the fundamental philosophy, foundation, and principle of the Nationalist Movement Party that will not change. Therefore, it must be clearly and decisively stated that due to the historical mission imposed by this necessity, the Nationalist Movement Party is far beyond an understanding that evaluates events within the narrow confines of daily developments. Our perspective is one shaped by historical consciousness, molded by national memory, and based on the survival of the state. We do not view developments as a mere chain of ordinary events. For us, every incident carries a nature that touches the destiny line of the Turkish nation. We look beyond the visible, trying to read the intentions, goals, and strategic outcomes behind the scenes. In the eyes of the Nationalist Movement Party, the world is a battleground where the struggle for power has intensified, balances are changing rapidly, and the pains of a new global restructuring are being experienced. Turkey's place is determined not by coincidences but by historical responsibility, geopolitical realities, and national will. For us, the essence is the unity of the nation, the survival of the state, and the indivisible integrity of the homeland. Every initiative targeting these three fundamental pillars, regardless of the guise it takes, will find the Nationalist Movement Party standing against it.
"EVEN IF DEATH KNOCKS ON OUR DOOR, WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP"

The conflicts developing around us demonstrate how vital it is to act with a lively, dynamic, and experience-based mindset. In this geography, which has turned into a competitive arena for actors losing their power and rising powers, Turkey stands out from other actors in the region with its stability, security, and institutional capacity. This situation not only keeps our country far from crises but also makes it a reliable center of attraction for regional actors. Turkey's position is directly related to its historical depth, human resources, rooted state tradition, and especially its deterrent military and technological power, which has undergone significant transformation in recent years. Indeed, it has become inevitable for a Turkey that produces power on the ground to emerge as an effective actor at the diplomacy table. The mediation role undertaken in the Russia-Ukraine War has been a concrete indicator of this capacity, and similarly, Turkey's balancing role in regional tensions has become more visible. In this context, Turkey is positioned as an actor capable of managing and directing crises. Indeed, it has been observed that in the recent developments in our region, it has effectively engaged in efforts to bring the process to a definitive conclusion through intense diplomatic initiatives.
"THE GLOBAL ENERGY SYSTEM IS UNDER SERIOUS RISK"
Valuable comrades. On the other hand, the fact that every aspect of life is shaped by energy cannot be ignored. Energy is an invisible force that illuminates our homes, keeps our cities alive, sustains our industry, and advances technology. It is the primary element that ensures the continuity of production, determines the pace of development, forms the strategic foundation of national security, and sets the level of social welfare. Energy is the essential source that manifests itself at every point of life, from the abundance in the fields to production in factories, from services in hospitals to defense systems, establishing and maintaining order. In short, energy is the main vein that makes life itself possible, a strategic backbone that determines the power of nations. Based on this truth, the developments occurring in the world today have revealed a very clear reality. The global energy system is under serious risk, and this risk has reached a level that can affect all countries without boundaries. The issue is no longer just about accessing energy. The real issue is that the entire structure that enables energy is under threat. The recent developments in the Strait of Hormuz have shown that this is not merely a problem specific to a narrow transit route but rather how sensitive the global energy order has become. Today, energy ports, oil refineries, pipelines, and storage facilities are directly at risk. The energy system itself is becoming a direct target and is under threat. Therefore, it is not possible to evaluate the emerging picture as a classic energy supply security issue. This is a much deeper fracture. This is directly a matter of energy security on a global scale.
"ENERGY INDEPENDENCE IS TURKEY'S RED APPLE"
It is in this new era that Turkey's role is being redefined. With the natural gas in the Black Sea, oil discoveries in Southeast and Eastern Anatolia, and international energy exploration activities, Turkey has now become a center of energy stability, trust, and peace in the region, thanks to its strong infrastructure. Turkey has become a power that brings together different resources, manages different routes, can produce alternatives in times of crisis, and can balance when necessary. This development is an important step that goes beyond economic gain, reinforcing national power, solidifying independence, and strengthening the strategic capacity of our state. Because energy is now one of the most critical elements that determine the balance of power in the international system. Access to energy, the capacity to manage energy flows, and the ability to direct these flows directly determine the position of countries in the global system. Turkey represents a will that correctly interprets this new era, accurately analyzes risks, reshapes the game in the energy field, determines the balance, and shapes the future. Because energy is not just a resource. Energy is power, stability, and most importantly, the key to peace. And it must be clearly stated that energy independence is Turkey's Red Apple. This goal is a necessity. This goal is a national stance. Turkey continues on its path with determination in line with this goal.
Dear comrades, in addition to all the issues we have mentioned, it is also necessary to see and take pride in the progress Turkey has made in recent years in the fields of defense industry and technology. Undoubtedly, this progress is the product of a profound strategic transformation. For many years, the structure based on external procurement has created various limitations in maintenance, repair work, modernization, and operational use, making the need for domestic production inevitable. In recent years, Turkey has accelerated the transition from a procuring position to a developing and producing position in the defense industry. This transformation has gained a more systematic structure along with public policies, private sector investments, and an increase in engineering capacity. Especially the successes achieved in the field of unmanned systems have been the most visible outputs of this transformation. Therefore, the rise Turkey has recorded in the defense industry in recent years has been shaped through reducing external dependency, increasing domestic and national production capacity, and making this structure a sustainable system. This strategic move has not only provided Turkey with deterrence on the ground but has also endowed it with the capability to be a more independent, resilient, and effective actor in the international system.
This picture is the fruit of a historical transformation process that has been realized through the Presidential Government System, where the will of the nation directs the will of the state, under the leadership of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the determined political will of the People's Alliance. The defense industry initiatives that were hindered for various reasons yesterday have been revived today. On this occasion, the pioneering figures who have worked in this field and put forth a vision should always be remembered with mercy and gratitude.Nuri Killigil, Şakir Zümre, Nuri Demirağ, and Vecihi Hürkuş have taken their place in our history as exceptional figures representing the will to produce, engineering capabilities, and the ideal of independence of this nation.
