The fate of Iran's religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was indicated as the number one target by US President Donald Trump, has been revealed. Iranian state television confirmed that Khamenei was killed in the attacks by the USA and Israel. A 40-day mourning period has been declared in the country.

After the killing of Iran's Religious Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the Israel-US attack, tensions rose in the country. In a written statement by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), it was stated that "the heaviest attack operation in the history of the Iranian Armed Forces will begin within minutes towards the occupied territories and the bases of US forces."
CASUALTIES IN IRAN 201, INJURED 747
The first statement regarding the attacks came from Iran. The Iranian Red Crescent announced that 201 people lost their lives and 747 were injured in the attacks across 24 cities. The heaviest loss in the US and Israel's attack on Iran occurred in an elementary school. The death toll increased once again in the attack on the "Shajarat al-Tayyiba Girls' Primary School" in the city of Minab, located in Hormozgan province in southern Iran. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ismail Bakayi announced that 150 girl students lost their lives in the attack.
IRAN HAS CLOSED THE HORMUZ STRAIT
Iran announced that it has closed the Hormuz Strait, which is vital for global oil transportation. The Revolutionary Guards emphasized that access to oil routes has been blocked and no ships will be allowed to pass.
THE ATTACKS OF THE USA AND ISRAEL ON IRAN AND IRAN'S RETALIATIONS
While the negotiation process between Iran and the USA continues, Israel and the USA launched joint attacks on Iran in the early hours of the morning. The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that Israel has initiated a "preventive attack" on Iran. US President Donald Trump also announced that they have launched a "major operation" against Iran. The attacks targeted the cities of Tehran, Isfahan, Karaj, Qom, Tabriz, Bushehr, Kermanshah, and Ilam. While Israel and Iran closed their airspace, a state of emergency was declared throughout Israel, and sirens were sounded. Warnings were made directing the Israeli public to shelters before Iran's counterattacks.
