"MOST SOLDIERS WERE TREATED ON THEIR FEET" Regarding the incident, Isparta Governor Abdullah Erin visited Isparta City Hospital to gather information about the event and to visit the injured soldiers. In a statement to the press, he said, "This evening, around 21:00, a fight occurred between two groups of Somali soldiers training at the Infantry Commando Training Brigade located in the center of Isparta after a football match. Our soldiers intervened in this fight shortly and brought it under control. During this incident, there were injuries among both Somali soldiers and our own soldiers that could be addressed with minor medical intervention. Our security teams were also dispatched to the scene to assist with the incident precautions. Our health organization transferred Somali and our soldiers to Isparta City Hospital and Süleyman Demirel University Medical Faculty Hospital with ambulances. Medical interventions took place there. Most soldiers were discharged after being treated on their feet," he stated.
Governor Erin stated, "There are 2 Somali soldiers among the injured whose condition we can evaluate as critical. Necessary interventions are being made for them as well. I hope that after these interventions, they will regain their health," he said.
It was learned that a judicial and administrative investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
