A major change is on the way in the 12-year compulsory education system.

The Minister of National Education, Tekin, addressed claims regarding changes to the compulsory education year, stating, "At the end of the year, we will evaluate these discussions internally and reach a decision." Tekin also added, "From our perspective, there is no problem; however, there are some sectors, such as the business world, that express their discomfort on this issue. They say they are facing difficulties in providing skilled labor."

Regarding claims that changes will be made in the compulsory education year, Tekin stated, "At the end of the year, we will evaluate these discussions internally and come to a decision. There are evaluation presidencies in each general directorate within our Ministry regarding this issue, and they are responsible for monitoring public discussions and producing necessary solutions. They are also following the work."

Stating that the business world is struggling to find intermediate staff and that they have communicated this, Minister Tekin noted: "From our perspective, there is no problem, but there are some sectors like the business world that express their discomfort on this issue. They say they are having difficulties in providing intermediate staff, but as a ministry, we are currently not involved in such a study. We are just monitoring these discussions."
