Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç stated, "The DEM Party visited our ministry, and we have ongoing work related to legal regulations." In response to a question about the right to hope for Öcalan, Tunç replied, "Such a situation is not the case, and there is no such meeting."
In the group meeting of the DEM Party held yesterday, Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan called on the government, stating, "Making some humanitarian, concrete, and confidence-building arrangements without postponing them until after the holiday will open the way for Turkey." While the continuation of the process is eagerly awaited, Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç made a statement.
Before the AK Party Group Meeting, Minister Tunç made statements to journalists, saying, "There are HSK elections and other issues on the parliamentary agenda. We generally talk about what needs to be done legally regarding prison conditions. We can expand the regulations in the Penal Execution Law. We shared our work on this issue in our parliamentary group. There is time for the Parliament to take a break for the summer. There are matters that can be addressed in the execution law. If there is a matter that requires legislation, these are not issues within the authority of the executive," he stated.
"THERE IS NO RIGHT TO HOPE"

There is no such situation or meeting."
In response to the question, "Is it possible for Öcalan to meet with journalists in Imralı?" Minister Tunç replied, "What needs to be done within the legal framework can be done."
