The physical completion rate of the 19 Mayıs Dam Irrigation Project, which began construction in 2020 in Samsun, has reached 97 percent. Thanks to the 2.3 billion TL project, a total of 38 neighborhoods in 3 districts will have access to water.
The physical realization rate of the May 19 Dam Irrigation Project, which was initiated by the State Hydraulic Works (DSI) in Samsun in 2020, has reached 97 percent.
38 NEIGHBORHOODS IN 3 DISTRICTS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO WATER
The project, which will provide a water source to a total of 38 neighborhoods in the districts of Asarcık, May 19, and Vezirköprü, draws attention with an irrigation area of 7,693 hectares. Within the scope of the project, which is aimed to be completed in April of this year, the neighborhoods of Dereköy, Bahçelievler, Engiz, Kertme, Beylik, Yeşilova, Mimarsinan, Esenyer, Yukarıengiz, Yükseliş, Yörükler, Tepeköy, Çandır, Köseli, Elifli, Taşköprü, Üçpınar, Sürmeli, Balıklar, Doğankaya, Gazibeyli, Derbent, Lengerli, Osmanbeyli, Evrenkuşağı, Çatak, Tütüncüler, Tepecik, Gümüşyaprak, Yakıntaş, Gerzeliler, Şeyhulaş, Sarıkaya, Bakırpınar, Aktekke, Sarıçevre, Dededağı, and Sarıköy will benefit from water.
TESTS CONTINUE
Within the scope of the work; the entire 39,128 meters of glass-reinforced polyester (CTP) pipe, the entire 8,407 meters of steel pipe, 189,886 meters (96.70 percent) of 196,366 meters of polyethylene (PE 100) pipe, and 1,365 out of 1,493 structures (91.43 percent) have been completed. Hydrostatic pressure and leak tests are still ongoing. In the tunnel excavation, which is a total of 470 meters, 450 meters have been reached. Coating work has been completed on 245 meters of this.
