In the Çınarcık district of Yalova, a father and his 14-month-old baby were injured in a noise dispute between neighbors. Selvet E., the brother of Şener E., who was arrested after the incident, denied the allegations, claiming that what happened was not an attack but a scuffle. Selvet E. stated that little İkra fell to the ground during the incident and that her eye was already bruised from hitting the car's dashboard, adding that they have been receiving intense threats for the past two days. Selvet E. said, "My brother did not harm the child in any way."

The long-standing feud among neighbors in the Esenköy town of Çınarcık district in Yalova had turned into a bloody incident. It was reported that two families, who frequently argued over children's noise, vehicle parking, and illegal balcony closures, were involved in a fight in which a father and his 14-month-old daughter were injured.

14-MONTH-OLD BABY'S SKULL FRACTURED

According to allegations, numerous disputes occurred between the Baca family, who moved into the same building about a year ago with their four children, and the E. family for various reasons.

In the latest incident that took place on February 20, 2026, Muhammed Baca (34) was attacked by Şener E. while he was outside with his 14-month-old daughter İkra in his arms. It was claimed that Şener E. carried out the attack using a children's scooter. During the scuffle, it was learned that Muhammed Baca's nose was broken and the skull of little İkra was fractured. Both father and daughter were treated at Yalova Training and Research Hospital.

After the incident, Şener E. was detained and was arrested by the court he was brought to. The other suspect, Selvet E., who was reported to have a restraining order against him, was released.

"WE DID NOT INTENTIONALLY HARM THE CHILD"

In a statement regarding the events, Selvet E. claimed that the feud between them started about 7-8 months ago due to vehicle parking. He alleged that Muhammed Baca had reported them to the gendarmerie and the prosecutor's office multiple times, but the cases were dismissed, and he recounted what happened on the day of the incident.

Selvet E. stated that he went outside to look for his children shortly before iftar, and claimed that Muhammed Baca cursed at him, after which the gendarmerie arrived at the scene. He alleged that during the scuffle, both sides attacked each other and defended that they did not intentionally intervene with the small child.

Selvet E. said, "We definitely did not harm the child in any way related to this incident. My brother did not harm the child at all," he said.

He added that little İkra's eye was bruised because it hit the car's glove compartment, and the neighbor at the center of the ongoing accusations defended themselves with the following words:

"SHE BRUISED HER EYE BY HITTING THE CAR'S GLOVE COMPARTMENT"

Describing the last incident, Selvet E. said, "I went out to look for my children because they were late for iftar by ten minutes. As I was going down, the person named Muhammed Baca was coming from the opposite direction in his car. After I passed him, he cursed at me while waving his finger from the window. After I left, I found the children. On my way back home, I saw that he had called the gendarmerie again. He was telling something there. He was shouting again. I asked the gendarmerie, 'Is there a problem again?' Muhammed Baca attacked me while he was with them, and the law enforcement intervened. Then neighbors who heard the noise came out. Meanwhile, the women started to get involved with each other. They were pushing and shoving each other. While the gendarmerie and we were trying to separate them, Muhammed Baca attacked my brother Şener E. while cursing. They started hitting each other while attacking. We intervened and separated them with the gendarmerie. He had a small child in his arms. The child had previously been in the arms of his mother B. Baca, whose statement is with the law enforcement. She bruised her eye by hitting the car's glove compartment. Then, while the child was in B. Baca's arms, he fell to the ground during the incident. When Muhammed Baca's nose started to bleed, he picked up the child and began to shout that they beat his child by pouring blood on the child. We definitely did not harm the child in any way related to this incident. My brother definitely did not harm the child at all."

ALLEGATION OF THREATS

Selvet E. also claimed that they had no connection with the allegation of leaving a bullet, stating that he received threatening messages after the incident, and claimed that his phone had not stopped ringing for two days and that he and his family were being threatened, saying, "They are threatening me with my children, my family, and my brother. I did nothing to experience this situation."
