The Iranian National Football Team, which is training in Antalya, took to the field for the ceremony of their friendly match against the Nigerian National Team carrying children's backpacks to draw attention to children who have died in war.
Due to increasing tensions and security risks in the Middle East, changes have been made to the Iranian National Team's preparation program.
IRAN IN ANTALYA FOR TRAINING CAMP
After the Iranian Ministry of Sports restricted travel to certain countries for security reasons, Turkey was chosen for the preparation matches. In this context, the Iranian National Team has arrived in Antalya for the camp. The friendly match against Nigeria, which was originally planned to be held in Jordan, has also been moved to Antalya.
THEY DREW ATTENTION TO THE DRAMA OF CHILDREN
The players of the Iranian National Team, who faced Nigeria in the friendly match, came out to the ceremony with children's backpacks to draw attention to the attack carried out by Israel and the USA on February 28 at the primary school in Minab, which resulted in the deaths of 168 girls and their teachers, as well as to children who lost their lives in the war. During the team photo, the players posed by placing their backpacks in front of them. It was observed that the Iranian players wore black armbands. As part of the Antalya camp, the Iranian National Team will play another friendly match against Costa Rica on Tuesday, March 31.
