A memorial ceremony was held at Trabzonspor Club for assistant coach Orhan Kaynak (56), who passed away due to a heart attack. Emotional moments were experienced during the ceremony held for Kaynak, a former player and assistant coach of the burgundy-blue community.
An memorial ceremony was held at the club facilities for Orhan Kaynak, the assistant coach of Trabzonspor, who passed away due to a heart attack last night. After the reading of his biography, emotional speeches were made about Kaynak's career as both a player and a coach during the ceremony.
TRABZONSPOR COMMUNITY SAID FAREWELL TO ORHAN KAYNAK In the ceremony, Trabzonspor Club Vice President Zeyyat Kafkas emphasized that Orhan Kaynak was not just a player who wore the jersey, but a special name that carried the spirit of the community. Kafkas stated, "Our coach Orhan Kaynak was not only a player who wore our club's jersey but also a name that carried the spirit of the community, nurturing the love for Trabzon in his heart. The struggle he showed on the field, the goals he scored, and especially the pride-filled moments he brought us in European cups have earned him a special place in our community. Orhan Kaynak, whom our fans embraced as 'Little Orhan,' did not part ways with our club after his playing career and continued to pass on his knowledge and experience to the youth as a coach. His dedication to Trabzonspor, his hard work, and his character have always made him an exemplary figure," he said.
KAFKAS: 'THE EFFORT HE GAVE TO TRABZONSPOR WILL LIVE IN THE MEMORY OF THIS COMMUNITY' Kafkas said, "Today, we are experiencing the sadness of losing not just a football player, a coach, but also a good person, a good friend, and a very valuable part of our club. The effort Orhan Kaynak gave to Trabzonspor will always live in the memory and heart of this community. I wish him mercy from Allah, and I extend my condolences and patience to all his loved ones, especially his precious family, and to our community. May his soul rest in peace, and may his place be paradise," he expressed.
AHMET METİN GENÇ: WE WILL KEEP ORHAN KAYNAK'S NAME ALIVE Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç, in his speech, stated, "Today, we are truly experiencing a sorrowful day on behalf of our city. We are bidding farewell to our dear coach Orhan Kaynak, who added value to Trabzonspor and contributed greatly. I wish mercy from Allah for our coach, who carried the spirit of Trabzonspor during both his playing and coaching periods and put in great effort for the success of the club." Genç noted that they bid farewell to Kaynak during the month of Ramadan, saying, "I hope that Allah grants the opportunity for all of us, especially his family, to meet in Paradise. As all Trabzon residents and Trabzonspor fans, we share their pain from the heart. I see it as my duty as the administrator of this city to keep the name of Orhan Kaynak alive. Inshallah, the name of Orhan Kaynak will be eternally honored with a decision made by our Metropolitan Council in one of the most beautiful places in our Trabzon," he said.
FATİH TEKKE: 'I DON'T KNOW HOW WE WILL OVERCOME THIS SHOCK ' Trabzonspor Technical Director Fatih Tekke stated that they experienced a great shock, saying, "First of all, may his place be paradise. It is a shocking situation for us, as it happened in the places we always spent time. But as believers, we know we must be patient. He was both my teammate and a very positive, cheerful, and good person with whom we worked together in the technical team for a year. I don't know how we will overcome this shock, but we are very sad. May all our heads be held high," he said. Orhan Çıkrıkçı, one of the assistant coaches of the burgundy-blue team, also expressed, "Yesterday we spent our best day together, we were together for one or two hours. And today we are at his funeral. May Allah grant him paradise," he stated.
ÖZAK: 'HIS TITLE WAS SMALL, BUT HIS WORK WAS GREAT' Former Minister and former president of Trabzonspor Club Faruk Özak shared his memories with Kaynak in his speech. Özak stated, "His title was small, but his work was great. He was one of the people who made our Trabzon and our country very happy both locally and internationally. He was a smiling, humble, and tolerant brother. In 1994, I was assigned when I wanted to take my sister Aynur. They became a very beautiful example family, raising three bright children," he said. Özak noted that Kaynak gained respect for the club internationally with the goals he scored, stating, "We will always remember him with his smiling face, looking at the goal, with his mind in the goal, and with the successes he brought to Trabzonspor. Every death is early, but every soul will taste death. We will be patient, and we will bury Orhan in our hearts. May Allah give patience to his family. May he rest in peace," he expressed. The memorial ceremony concluded after prayers were made.
FUNERAL PROGRAM CONFIRMED Meanwhile, in a statement made by Trabzonspor Club, it was announced that the funeral program for the late former player and assistant coach Orhan Kaynak has been determined. The statement said, "The funeral of the late Orhan Kaynak will be held after the afternoon prayer at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Mosque located on Kuğu Street in Maden Neighborhood, Sarıyer, Istanbul, on Thursday, March 12. He will be buried at Kilyos Cemetery. We once again wish mercy from Allah for Orhan Kaynak; we extend our condolences to his family, relatives, and our community," it stated.
