It has been revealed that Bahar Aksüt, whose body was found in a pond in Adana, was killed by Mustafa Arıkan, the neighborhood headman with whom she had a romantic relationship. Arıkan, who was detained in connection with the incident, confessed during interrogation that he pressured Aksüt to terminate her pregnancy, and when she refused, he stabbed her to death and threw her body into the pond.

It has been revealed that Bahar Aksüt (27), a mother of one child whose body was found in Kürebeli Pond in Adana, was stabbed to death by Mustafa Arıkan (44), the headman of Yeni Cami Neighborhood in Tufanbeyli district, with whom she had a romantic relationship. It was alleged that Arıkan killed Aksüt because she did not terminate the pregnancy resulting from their relationship.

SHE WAS NOTICED BY SHEPHERDS 

On April 5, shepherds grazing animals in Kürebeli Plateau of Tufanbeyli district noticed a woman lying motionless in the pond and reported it to the gendarmerie. In the examination conducted by the teams dispatched to the area, the body of the woman, who was determined to be a victim of murder, was taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy.

IDENTITY CONFIRMED 

In the investigation initiated regarding the incident, it was determined that the body belonged to Bahar Aksüt, who had been missing for 9 days and had not been heard from since. It was reported that Aksüt, who came from Erzincan to Tufanbeyli, worked as a waitress in a pub in the district and was a mother of one child. The autopsy revealed that Aksüt was pregnant, and she was found to have been killed with 8 stab wounds and thrown into the pond.

IT WAS REVEALED THAT SHE HAD AN AFFAIR WITH THE HEADMAN 

A comprehensive investigation was launched by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams regarding the incident. It was determined that Aksüt had a romantic relationship with Mustafa Arıkan, the headman of Yeni Cami Neighborhood in the district. Following this information, the gendarmerie expanded the investigation and found that Aksüt had become pregnant by headman Arıkan, who pressured her to terminate the pregnancy. Consequently, Arıkan, a married father of two, was taken into custody.

HE CONFESSED EVERYTHING DURING INTERROGATION 

During his interrogation, Mustafa Arıkan confessed to the murder, stating that he brought Bahar Aksüt and her friend Kader K. to Tufanbeyli from Elbistan district of Kahramanmaraş with his friend Vural Ö. before the incident, and then went to Kürebeli Pond with Bahar, where he pressured her to terminate the pregnancy, and when she refused, he stabbed and killed her. 

3 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED 

Arıkan stated that he threw the body into the dam and claimed that his friends Vural Ö. and Kader K. were not with him at the time of the incident. Based on the information provided by Arıkan, his two friends were also taken into custody. Vural Ö. and Kader K. claimed that they learned about the murder later. After their statements, headman Mustafa Arıkan was referred to the magistrate's court for murder, while Vural Ö. and Kader K. were arrested for aiding and abetting the murder.
