The incident occurred yesterday around 3:30 PM at the Mevlana Site on 2050th Street in Gültepe Neighborhood. Yusuf Aymergen, the youngest of the three children of İlhan and Zekiye Aymergen, started playing on the bed in front of the window in their apartment on the 10th floor. After a while, Yusuf Aymergen fell from the window. Yusuf, who fell onto the concrete ground, lost his life. Yusuf's aunt, Hediye Aymergen, said, "The child took his mother's phone to play and went to the bedroom. He dropped the phone out of the window. He fell while trying to catch the phone. Then the family realized the situation. His father screamed when he saw his son's body on the ground. The deceased child was a first-grade student. I don't think it was negligence. The family had placed a bed in front of the window to prevent it from being opened. We don't understand how the child pulled the bed away from there. His mother and father loved the child very much," she said. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
