In the Osmancık district of Çorum, a mother with psychological issues set her house on fire after leaving a note. In the resulting fire, both the mother and her son lost their lives. Investigations conducted by the teams revealed that Fatma Makineci had left a suicide note addressed to her parents.

TEAMS BROKE THE DOOR AND WINDOW TO ENTER

The incident occurred around 03:30 in the Şenyurt neighborhood on 9th Street in the Osmancık district of Çorum. According to the information obtained, neighbors who heard an explosion coming from the apartment on the 4th floor, where Fatma Makineci (36) and her son Kaan Mert Kaya (14) lived, reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the report, health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams that went to the mother and son's house broke the door and window to enter. Upon entering the house, the teams encountered the body of Fatma Makineci. Mert Kaan Kaya was found severely injured in a different room. The child received first aid from the health teams and was taken to the hospital. Kaan Mert Kaya, who was under treatment, could not be saved and passed away.

SUCIDE NOTE FOUND

Investigations conducted by the teams revealed that Fatma Makineci had left a suicide note addressed to her parents. It was learned that Fatma Makineci, who lost her life, had divorced her husband some time ago and had psychological issues. Investigations conducted by the teams also determined that the fire was started with gel and thinner that had been spilled everywhere.

As a result of the work of the public prosecutor and the crime scene investigation teams, the body of Fatma Makineci was also removed from the house and taken to the morgue. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
