The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs (MAPEG) granted an oil exploration license to Wali Petroleum Limited Company for areas covering the provinces of Erzincan and Erzurum.
The decision regarding the oil rights of MAPEG was published in today's Official Gazette. Accordingly, an oil exploration license was granted to Wali Petroleum Limited Company for areas with a surface area of 14,836 and 14,837 hectares located within the provincial borders of Erzurum and Erzincan for a period of 5 years. EXPROPRIATION DECISION FOR OIL EXPLORATION IN DIYARBAKIRMAPEG made an expropriation decision for two different areas in the context of oil exploration activities in the Sur and Ergani districts of Diyarbakır for the benefit of the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO). For the Kayapınar Hazro-4 well, an area of 17,632.06 square meters in the village of Konakcı in the Sur district of Diyarbakır was decided to be expropriated under the ARİ/TPO/K/4857 oil operating license, while for the Dereboyu-1 well, a total area of 20,616.6 square meters in the Dereboyu neighborhood of Ergani district was decided to be expropriated under the AR/TPO/K/L43-c1,c2 exploration license.
