A new price increase for fuel is coming.

17.01.2025 11:51

It is expected that gasoline prices will increase by 91 kuruş due to fluctuations in the international oil market and changes in the exchange rate. This increase will directly affect drivers' budgets. The current prices will be effective from midnight.

The volatility in the international oil market and fluctuations in exchange rates directly affect fuel prices. Due to the fluctuations in Brent crude oil prices and exchange rates, fuel prices continue to rise. On January 16, the price of diesel was increased by 1 lira and 47 kuruş per liter, while a rise of 91 kuruş in gasoline prices is expected starting from tonight.

CURRENT FUEL PRICES

Current fuel prices in Istanbul are as follows:

Gasoline: 45.32 TL

Diesel: 47.24 TL

LPG: 26.49 TL on the European side, 25.89 TL on the Anatolian side

ANKARA

In Ankara, the price of diesel reached 47.90 TL per liter, while the price of gasoline reached 45.82 TL per liter. LPG prices in Ankara were set at 26.39 TL.

IZMIR

In Izmir, the price of diesel was recorded at 48.30 TL per liter, and the price of gasoline was recorded at 46.19 TL. LPG prices reached 26.24 TL.

PRICE CHANGE AT THE PUMP

These increases in fuel prices will directly affect drivers' budgets. Therefore, it is important for vehicle owners to follow current prices and adjust their budgets accordingly.

HOW ARE FUEL PRICES DETERMINED?

Fuel prices are determined according to the Free Pricing System that came into effect on January 1, 2005. With this system, fuel distribution companies can set their prices according to their own policies.

Additionally, while dealers apply the ceiling prices suggested by distribution companies, they have the freedom to determine their own selling prices based on the competitive conditions in their region. Retail fuel prices in Turkey are shaped in this competitive environment.
