In Tuzla, the suspect A.K. was arrested on the grounds of attacking a 7-year-old child who was playing. The Ministry of Family and Social Services will provide psychological support to the child and their family who were attacked, and will intervene in the case related to the assault.
According to the Istanbul Police Department officials, during the investigations regarding the images shared on some social media platforms today, it was determined that 7-year-old B.E.A., who was playing in the parking lot of a shopping center in Şifa Neighborhood on the evening of October 6, was attacked by an individual.
It was learned that the child, who was taken to the hospital after the heartbreaking attack, is not in life-threatening condition, while the identified 19-year-old suspect A.K. was captured on October 8.
As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect carried out the attack because he was disturbed by the noise made by the children. After his procedures at the police station, the suspect, who was referred to the judicial authorities for the crime of "intentional injury," was arrested on October 9.
THE MINISTRY WILL ALSO INTERVENE IN THE CASE
The Ministry of Family and Social Services took action following the aforementioned images. In a statement made by the ministry, it was expressed, "We would like to inform the public that we will intervene in the legal process, and we will also provide psychosocial support to our child and their family."
