A deputy commissioner who was a passenger at Batman Airport was accidentally shot by a police officer on duty at the weapon control checkpoint. As a result of the incident, the deputy commissioner was injured and taken to the hospital. An investigation has been initiated.
A deputy commissioner who arrived as a passenger from Ankara to Batman Airport was accidentally shot and injured by a police officer on duty at the weapon control checkpoint.
POLICE OFFICER ACCIDENTALLY SHOOTS DEPUTY COMMISSIONER
According to the information received, deputy commissioner M.A.D., who arrived in Batman from Ankara on flight TK-4115, came to the weapon delivery point to pick up his gun. While police officer F.D. was aiming the gun at the control barrel and checking it, the gun accidentally fired, injuring the deputy commissioner in the leg.
After the initial intervention by the medical team, the deputy commissioner was transferred to Batman Training and Research Hospital.
An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
