A protocol has been signed between SGK and 13 banks! Special discounts and privileges are coming for retirees.

The introduction of the protocol that will provide discounts and privileges for retirees between the Social Security Institution (SGK) and 13 banks was announced.

Speaking at the promotion program held at the SGK Conference Hall, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security Ahmet Aydın said that they have made a cooperation protocol as a result of consultations with public institutions and private enterprises in order to ensure a prosperous life for the veterans of the Turkish Century.

DISCOUNT AND CONVENIENCE OPPORTUNITY FOR RETIREES

"Today, we have created discounts, conveniences, advantages, and opportunities for our retirees in many areas," said Aydın, adding, "We have also launched a website called emekliler.gov.tr. When you visit there, you will see where, by which company, what kind of advantage, opportunity, and convenience are provided to our retirees." Aydın stated that they provide guidance to retirees through the retiree desk they set up in SGK centers in every province and said, "Today, discount advantage protocols have been made with 4,123 companies in all 81 provinces." Aydın stated that they have created retiree digital identity cards, TROY, and retiree bank and credit cards from banks, and explained that they have implemented these opportunities through them.

The banks that have made cooperation protocols are as follows:

"PTT Bank, Vakıfbank, Halkbank, Ziraat Bankası, Ziraat Katılım, Denizbank, Kuveyt Türk, Türkiye Finans Katılım, Garanti Bankası, ING Bank, Yapı Kredi, and QNB Finansbank, Akbank."

With the cooperation, banks will provide special discounts, opportunities, promotions, and campaigns for retirees using bank/credit cards.

TROY'S TRANSACTION VOLUME IN THE SECOND QUARTER INCREASED BY 1200%

SGK President Raci Kaya said that they have been working in coordination with the Ministry for activities that can be carried out to improve the quality of life of retirees throughout the year within the scope of the "Year of Retirees" in order to expand their rights from health to transportation, social opportunities to cultural activities. Kaya stated that banks have quickly become involved in the process for retirees and work wholeheartedly to contribute to retirees with special discounts and privileges.

Cüneyt Sağlık, Deputy General Manager of Ziraat Bankası, speaking on behalf of the banks, stated that they are focused on producing the most accurate solutions for the financial needs of retirees. Sağlık said, "In line with the strategies in the Medium-Term Program, we have increased the transaction volume of the national card scheme TROY in the second quarter by 1200% compared to the same quarter of the previous year, as regulated authorities, BKM, and the banking sector. In our country, the total increase in card-based shopping volume during the same period was 103%. I think it is a meaningful indicator in terms of expressing our potential to achieve the set goals when we unite our forces."
