In various states of Germany, it has been reported that searches were conducted in some residences as part of raids against the far-right "Last Defense Wave" organization. No information was provided regarding the number of suspects apprehended during the raids.
In a statement made by the Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany (BKA), it was noted that searches were conducted in certain properties and apartments with the aim of capturing 10 individuals suspected of being members of a terrorist organization.
RAID ON FAR-RIGHT GROUPS
The statement indicated that inspectors conducted searches in a total of 16 properties in Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt. No information was provided regarding the number of suspects apprehended during the raids.
CHARGES ARE SERIOUS
It was reported that suspects apprehended in previous raids targeting the organization named "Last Defense Wave" are being tried in custody at the State Security Senate of the Hamburg Higher Regional Court.
Among the charges directed at 8 defendants, whose ages range from 15 to 22, are crimes such as "membership in a terrorist organization, attempted murder or aiding and abetting attempted murder, arson, and assault."
