Among those who came to the hospital after Tayfur's death was Talha Siraç Ünlü, who resembled the artist with his clothing style, hair, and shoes. Speaking in front of the hospital, Ünlü expressed that he was very sad about Tayfur's death. He continued his speech by saying: "We are very sorrowful. We will only pray now. He will live in our hearts. January 2 is now an immortal day for us. Ferdi Tayfur will live in our hearts with his immortal songs. I have been a fan since I was 11 years old. I dress like him, play the saz, and all his cassettes and records are in my room. This is a love. Ferdi Tayfur is a brand. His children are very sad. As his children, we will all be at the funeral on Saturday. We will not leave our father alone. We will all meet him in the afterlife."

It was claimed that Ünlü was detained due to a video shared on social media. The shared video allegedly showed a person identified as Ünlü sitting on the Quran and stepping on it with their feet.

In a statement from the Provincial Police Department, it was noted that a person was seen making posts containing insults to religious values on social media following the death of artist Ferdi Tayfur. It was reported that an investigation was initiated, and the suspect T.S.Ü. in the video content was detained at his home.
