After the footage emerged showing Manavgat Deputy Mayor Mehmet Engin Tüter receiving a bribe of 110,000 Euros in a baklava box, the CHP took action. The CHP referred Tüter, as well as Cengiz Coşar and Hüseyin Cem Gül, to disciplinary proceedings with a request for their expulsion.

BRIBERY SCANDAL IN A BAKLAVA BOX IN MANAVGAT
In Antalya, during the "bribery" investigation launched against the Manavgat Municipality on July 4, Manavgat Mayor Niyazi Nefi Kara was arrested, while the "baklava" scandal made a significant impact on the investigation. Deputy Mayor Mehmet Engin Tüter was caught red-handed in his office with 110,000 euros in a baklava box. Tüter was also arrested by the on-duty judge to whom he was referred and sent to prison.
CHP'S REQUEST FOR EXPULSION OF 3 NAMES
CHP Spokesperson Deniz Yücel made statements regarding the issue. Yücel stated that 3 individuals were referred to disciplinary action with a request for their expulsion. Yücel said: "In today's MYK meeting, regarding the process that took place in Manavgat, it was decided to refer Engin Tüter, Cengiz Coşar, and Hüseyin Cem Gül, who are the main actors of this bribery plot, to disciplinary action with a request for their expulsion; For the integrity of the investigation, 7 members of the municipal council group have been detained, and the memberships of our Mayor Niyazi Nefi Kara and our former Mayor Şükrü Sözen have been suspended due to their involvement in the formation of these council member lists."
