The Deputy Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party, Feti Yıldız, stated, "When the penal code is being amended, the sentences of individuals who are elderly, ill, or experiencing health issues need to be postponed." Regarding the possibility that terrorist organizations might benefit from such a sentence postponement, Yıldız expressed, "No opinion, ideology, or organization can be excluded."

The Deputy Chairman of the MHP, Feti Yıldız, made striking statements regarding the amnesty issue to tv100 commentator Sinan Burhan.

"THOSE WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS, THE ELDERLY, AND SICK PEOPLE'S SENTENCES NEED TO BE POSTPONED"

In his statement, Yıldız emphasized, "First of all, let’s underline this. The penal law has changed significantly in a fragmented manner. Therefore, it needs to be addressed as a whole. Additionally, issues such as the new constitution and the political parties law also need to be addressed. Furthermore, when making arrangements to the penal law, the sentences of those with health problems, the elderly, and sick individuals need to be postponed," he stated.

"NO VIEW, IDEOLOGY, OR ORGANIZATION CAN BE LEFT OUT"

Yıldız also responded to Sinan Burhan's question, "If there is a regulation in this context, will FETÖ and similar organizations benefit from it?" by saying, "We must treat everyone equally before the law, regardless of religion, ideology, or political view. These individuals will also benefit. It is a universal principle of law. If a forensic medicine report and doctors state that 'this person cannot continue their life' regarding the sick and elderly, if such a decision is made in forensic medicine, a sentence postponement can be made. While doing this, no view, ideology, or organization can be left out," he explained.
