The Turkish Football Federation made a statement regarding the current condition of referee Abdullah Buğra Taşkınsoy, who was scheduled to officiate the match between Konyaspor and Galatasaray in the semi-finals of the Ziraat Turkey Cup but fell ill just minutes before the match and was taken to the hospital. It was announced that Taşkınsoy’s health is good.
The Turkish Football Federation made a statement regarding the health status of Abdullah Buğra Taşkınsoy, who was taken to the hospital after feeling unwell just minutes before the Konyaspor-Galatasaray match in the semi-finals of the Ziraat Turkey Cup.
TFF'S STATEMENT
In the statement made by the TFF, it was said, "Referee Abdullah Buğra Taşkınsoy, who was assigned to the semi-final match played between Tümosan Konyaspor and Galatasaray in the Ziraat Turkey Cup, was subjected to a health check after not feeling well following the warm-up training conducted before the match. As a result of the doctor's examination, it was determined that our referee had a high pulse, and it was decided that he would not officiate in the match considering his health condition."
HEALTH STATUS IS GOOD
In the statement, which noted that Taşkınsoy’s general health status is good, the following expressions were included;
"Following this development, the match started with a 12-minute delay as Ali Yılmaz, who was assigned as the fourth referee, took the field as the referee. From the 13th minute of the match onwards, Raşit Yorgancılar, a Senior Class Referee, took over as the fourth referee in place of Abdullah Buğra Taşkınsoy, who was in good general health and was transferred to the hospital by ambulance for control purposes."
WHAT HAPPENED?
Abdullah Buğra Taşkınsoy, who was planned to serve as the center referee, felt unwell just minutes before the match. Taşkınsoy, who received initial intervention from the club doctors, could not officiate the match due to tachycardia (heart palpitations).
Following this development, the fourth referee Ali Yılmaz blew the whistle. The match started approximately 15 minutes late due to Abdullah Buğra Taşkınsoy’s illness. Although Taşkınsoy started the match as the fourth referee, he could not continue and went to the dressing room upon request from the TFF in the 14th minute.
Referee Buğra Abdullah Buğra Taşkınsoy was taken to the hospital shortly after expressing that he was fine, despite being sent to the dressing room by the TFF. In the 14th minute of the match, Raşit Yorgancılar, a doctor, took over the duties of the fourth referee after Abdullah Buğra Taşkınsoy had to leave his position.
