A STRONG LAVA FLOW OCCURRED
According to news reports in the Italian press, a strong lava flow occurred last night from a crack on the southern slope of the volcano's crater named "Bocca Nuova" (New Mouth), which has an elevation of approximately 3,300 meters on the island of Sicily. It was also noted that intermittent ash eruptions have been observed in recent days.

Mount Etna, which is the highest active volcano in continental Europe, recorded volcanic activities such as intense ash and lava eruptions during the summer months of 2024.
