Allegations of suspicious meetings in the assassination of Sinan Ateş! Footage has emerged.

During the investigation into the murder of Sinan Ateş, it was revealed that Serdar Öktem, a lawyer from the MHP who is currently in custody, was at the same hospital at the same time as Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım, the president of the Ülkü Ocakları and a suspect in the case. The lawyers representing the Ateş family announced that they would file a criminal complaint against the authorities, claiming that this meeting was planned in secret.

It has emerged that Serdar Öktem, a lawyer affiliated with the MHP who is currently in custody during the investigation into the murder of Sinan Ateş, was at the same hospital at the same time as the suspect in the case, Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım, the President of the Ülkü Ocakları.

FOOTAGE ADDED TO THE OBJECTION APPLICATION

The lawyers of the Ateş family announced that they would file a criminal complaint against the authorities, claiming that this meeting was planned in secret. The lawyers also included hospital footage in their objection to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's decision to not pursue charges against 22 individuals, including Yıldırım. The footage shows Öktem being taken to Etlik City Hospital on July 4, 2023, and approximately three hours later, Yıldırım arriving at the same hospital and entering the area where Öktem was located, as well as moments where he spoke with the prison guard who brought Öktem to the hospital in the hospital garden.

THE CASE IS ONGOING

Cases related to the murder of former Ülkü Ocakları President and Hacettepe University faculty member Assoc. Prof. Sinan Ateş, who was killed in Ankara on December 30, 2022, are ongoing.

In the case involving 22 defendants, including the shooter and instigators of Sinan Ateş's death, a decision was made, while the trial of MHP lawyer Serdar Öktem and former police chief Mustafa Ensar Aykal, whose files were separated from this case due to the inability to conduct an examination because he did not provide his phone password in court, began on February 6.

A decision of non-prosecution was issued in the investigation against 22 individuals, including former MHP deputy Olcay Kılavuz and Ülkü Ocakları President Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım, for the crimes of "intentional murder" and "instigating intentional murder." The lawyers of the Sinan Ateş family objected to the non-prosecution decision.

ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL WITH CHEST PAIN

The objection included footage showing that on the same day that Serdar Öktem, who was arrested after the assassination of Sinan Ateş, was taken to Etlik City Hospital on July 4, 2023, due to "chest pain," Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım also arrived at the same hospital.

In the footage obtained by ANKA News Agency, it is seen that Öktem entered the hospital with staff at 15:46 on July 4, 2023, and was taken to the examination area known as the 'yellow zone,' while Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım, one of the suspects in the investigation, entered the hospital at 18:28 with a person accompanying him and headed towards the area where Öktem was located. The footage also shows that at 20:34, the suspect Yıldırım was waiting in the hospital garden with the people next to him and spoke with one of the prison guards who brought Öktem from prison.

"ÖKTEM WAS PROMISED RELEASE"

The lawyers of the Ateş family requested the annulment of the non-prosecution decision regarding the 22 defendants, including Yıldırım, and demanded that an indictment be prepared and a public case be opened against the suspects. The hospital footage was also presented as evidence in the objection petition.

The petition stated, "On July 4, 2023, during his detention, the suspect Serdar Öktem, who was diagnosed with chest pain, was initially taken to the infirmary in the prison and later transferred to Etlik City Hospital. Shortly after Öktem was placed under observation in the yellow zone, he was visited by a large group that included high-ranking officials from the Ülkü Ocakları, including Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım. It is not difficult to guess the content of the conversations between the suspect Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım and the detained Serdar Öktem, and it is clear that he was promised to remain silent and that his release would be arranged shortly."

"A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT WILL BE FILED AGAINST INFORMANTS"

The objection pointed out that there was a confidentiality order on the file at that time and questioned how Yıldırım obtained the information that Öktem was taken to the hospital. The petition stated, "A criminal complaint will be filed against everyone involved in this incident, including the personnel who accompanied Serdar Öktem to Etlik City Hospital, the officials who facilitated his release from prison, the prison guards who provided information in the hospital, and those who are seen in the footage providing information in the hospital garden. We hope that the questions of whether there is a medical condition or whether Serdar Öktem was transferred to the hospital under the pretext of having a 'chest pain' to facilitate meetings with individuals he could not meet while in custody will be clarified as a result of the applications made."

"THE STATEMENTS OF THESE INDIVIDUALS HAVE NOT BEEN SOUGHT"

Additionally, the objection highlighted that many MHP members had not even been questioned, stating:

"The statements of former MHP deputy Olcay Kılavuz, who was caught with suspect Tolgahan Demirbaş and mentioned as one of the perpetrators in the statements of many witnesses and complainants, and Ülkü Ocakları President Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım, who gave the order for the act, as well as Ülkü Ocakları Ankara Provincial President Ömer Şanlı, who is among the main instigators, are not found in the file. The common point of these individuals is that they are political figures within the same community. What we find difficult to understand is the fundamental motive behind the fact that, despite the existence of an organized assassination and the names of the suspects being included in the file, the statements of these individuals have not even been sought."
