A response has come to TÜSİAD High Advisory Council President Ömer Aras's statement, "We are experiencing a crisis of trust, and the reason for this is the collapsing system." AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik said, "TÜSİAD should make an effort to leave its poor track record on democracy behind. As the AK Party, we will not allow any initiative that sees itself above politics, just as we have done until now."

Ömer Aras, the Chairman of TÜSİAD High Advisory Council, stated during the TÜSİAD General Assembly meeting, "As a country, our morale is low. We are experiencing a trust crisis. The reason for this is the collapsing system," which has become the focus of reactions. Following Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç, another response came from AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik.
In a statement on his social media account, Çelik said, "The TÜSİAD management should confront why one of the first things that comes to mind when those fighting for democracy in this country say 'trust crisis' is TÜSİAD's approaches. TÜSİAD should make an effort to leave its poor record on democracy behind. As the AK Party, we will not allow any initiative that sees itself above politics, as we have done until now and will continue to do so."
"THEIR RECORDS ARE PROBLEMATIC"
AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik used the following expressions in his social media post:
"In democracies, it is the natural right of civil society organizations to make statements and evaluations about the country's agenda. However, the right to evaluate the country's agenda and attempts to shape politics and give instructions to the judiciary are separate issues. The difference lies in commitment to democracy and respect for the law.
Unfortunately, the records of some civil society organizations in Turkey regarding this issue are problematic; their past support for military tutelage and judicial tutelage has not been erased from memory. Additionally, their open targeting of the legitimate government and efforts to remove it have made headlines in the past.
For these reasons, the TÜSİAD management should confront why one of the first things that comes to mind when those fighting for democracy in this country say 'trust crisis' is TÜSİAD's approaches. TÜSİAD should make an effort to leave its poor record on democracy behind.
As the AK Party, we will not allow any initiative that sees itself above politics, as we have done until now and will continue to do so.
We are more determined than ever to protect the democratic space of politics."
MINISTER TUNÇ: NO INSTITUTION, ORGANIZATION, OR INTEREST GROUP IS ABOVE THE NATIONAL WILL
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç also stated the following in his social media post:
"The Republic of Turkey is a state of law. No institution, organization, or interest group is above the national will. One of the cornerstones of our democratic system is the separation of powers and the independence of the judiciary. Just as we do not accept any pressure on judicial processes, everyone should know that we are against any attempts to influence the judiciary.
While it is certainly a democratic right for civil society organizations to express their views, attempts to direct the judiciary and politics are contrary to the spirit of democracy and the principle of the rule of law. Democracy is not just the common trust of certain circles, but of the entire nation and state.
Turkey is not the old Turkey. Those who do not understand that the Turkey directed by privileged groups is now behind us should know this; no one or no organization can see itself above the will of the nation and the law. There should be no doubt that we will respond to any attempt to interfere with the legal order in the strongest way possible, just as we have done until now."
