A threat from an MHP deputy that stirred up the Turkish Grand National Assembly: "Even if an angel comes, they can't take you from my hands."

İYİ Party Bursa Deputy Selçuk Türkoğlu made a speech in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey criticizing the ruling AK Party's statement that "The old Turkey is behind us."

Türkoğlu emphasized that people were happier and economically independent in the "Old Turkey," which the AK Party constantly criticizes. He highlighted that retirees can now buy homes with their bonuses, not in the current misery.

"THERE WAS DEMOCRACY IN THE OLD TURKEY YOU DISLIKE"

Towards the end of his speech, Türkoğlu stated, "In that Turkey you dislike, there were no terrorists, no baby killers who dared to speak in the parliament, and those who raised their hands and promised the state. Our mothers, sisters, and women did not fear what might happen to them on the streets and sidewalks; they did not carry the fear of death. In that old Turkey you dislike, even if we didn't like it, there was democracy."

MHP DEPUTY OPENLY THREATENED

After his speech, Türkoğlu responded to remarks coming from the AK Party benches. Türkoğlu was threatened by MHP Gümüşhane Deputy Musa Küçük as he was heading to his party's benches. Küçük, walking towards the İYİ Party row, said, "Watch your words. I warn you for the last time. After that, even if the angel of death comes, I can't save you."
