A university student jumped off a bridge in Izmir.

A person, who is reported to be a university student in the Bornova district of İzmir, jumped off a bridge 10 meters high. The student, who suffered fractures in his body, was taken to the hospital.

NOT CONVINCED

The incident occurred around 09:30 near the Bornova metro station. A.K. (27), who is reported to be a university student, climbed onto the bridge and attempted suicide. Upon notification, police, medical, and fire teams were dispatched to the area. Despite the police's efforts to convince him, A.K., who was holding onto the barriers, said he would jump.

SUDDENLY JUMPED

Despite all efforts, A.K., who was not convinced, suddenly let himself fall from the 10-meter-high bridge. Medical teams who went to A.K., who fell onto the concrete ground, took the injured person, who suffered fractures, to Ege University Medical Faculty Hospital by ambulance. It was reported that A.K.'s health condition is good, and an investigation into the incident has begun.
