The mother and baby were taken to the hospital.

"I WOULD LIKE TO MEET THE FAMILY"

Serkan Çetinyoklav told reporters that the pregnant woman got on the minibus alone.

Çetinyoklav, who reported that the woman started to have contractions a few minutes later, said, "When the woman next to her told me the situation, I asked another female passenger to help the pregnant woman. When the woman said to me, 'Brother, the birth is happening,' I forgot the passengers in the minibus and decided to take her to the hospital as a humanitarian duty. I drove the minibus to the hospital."

Çetinyoklav expressed that he has been a driver for 35 years and faced such a situation for the first time, and he said: "When we arrived at the hospital, I told the nurses, 'I have a passenger who is giving birth.' Meanwhile, the birth took place in the vehicle. The nurses wrapped the baby and cut the umbilical cord, taking the mother and baby to the ward. I know it's a girl. I would like to meet the family. I want to say, 'May it be good and auspicious, may their path be open.'

Çetinyoklav noted that he felt the happiness of helping someone in need and added that all drivers would do the same.

The arrival of the minibus in front of the hospital and the intervention of health officials on the woman and baby in the vehicle were recorded by a mobile phone camera.
