A fire broke out for an undetermined reason in a six-story building in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul. A woman, who was reported to have moved into the apartment a week ago, lost her life in the fire. Those trapped in the building during the fire were rescued by the intervention of the fire brigade teams.

FIRE BROKE OUT IN A SIX-STORY BUILDING
The fire occurred around 10:30 in the 2nd Arıkuşu Street of Kanarya Neighborhood, Küçükçekmece. According to the information obtained, a fire broke out in the six-story building located on the street. Upon the notification of nearby citizens who saw the smoke, police, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Citizens inside the building were evacuated by the fire brigade. After the intervention of the fire teams, the fire was brought under control and cooling work was carried out.
THE BODY WAS FOUND AFTER THE FIRE
During the cooling work carried out by the fire brigade inside the apartment after the fire, they discovered a person motionless. Medical teams determined that the woman, identified as Güllü S., was found unconscious and had died. Police teams conducted a detailed investigation inside the apartment. The body of the deceased woman was later taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institution. The exact cause of death of the woman will be clarified after the autopsy to be conducted.
MOVED IN A WEEK AGO
Mehmet Sevgili, who lives in the adjacent building, said, "We had no idea either. When we woke up in the morning, there was a fire. She lived here alone. She had just met her. She was a hairdresser." Furthermore, it was learned that Güllü S., who lost her life in the fire, had moved here a week ago.
