28.11.2024 17:30

In Antalya, a woman was shot and killed by her husband during a dispute that started over "jealousy." The suspect, who turned himself in to the police, was arrested, while it was learned that the woman was preparing for her daughter's birthday.

The residents of Güzeloba Neighborhood in the Muratpaşa district of Antalya were shaken by a chilling murder around 1:30 PM yesterday. According to reports, a dispute arose between Hale Akbaş Poyraz, a mother of 6, and Abdullah Poyraz, the father of her 3 children, due to jealousy.

HE SURRENDERED AFTER KILLING HIS WIFE

As the argument escalated, Abdullah Poyraz shot Hale Akbaş Poyraz with the gun he had on him. After leaving the gun at the scene, Abdullah Poyraz left the house and went to the police station about 2 hours later, saying, "I shot my wife."

HIS DAUGHTER'S CRIES BROKE HEARTS

After Poyraz's confession, police teams who went to the address found the lifeless body of Hale Akbaş Poyraz. While the teams continued their investigations, the cries of Hale Akbaş Poyraz's daughter, who arrived at the scene, broke hearts. The young girl, who cried for a long time saying, "Please let me see my mother, what happened to my mother, he killed my mother," fainted, prompting an ambulance to be called. After the investigations, Hale Akbaş Poyraz's lifeless body was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.

SHE WAS PREPARING FOR HER DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY

It was learned that Hale Akbaş Poyraz was preparing for the birthday celebrations of her daughter G., who turned 15 yesterday from her first marriage. It was also reported that her neighbors tried to reach Hale Akbaş Poyraz but could not get through. Poyraz's 4 young children were taken into protection by the Ministry of Family and Social Services.

"I THOUGHT THERE WAS SOMEONE ELSE IN HER LIFE"

In his first statement regarding the incident at the police station, Abdullah Poyraz said, "After she started working, she distanced herself from home. She started to treat me badly and insult me. I thought there was someone else in her life. I caught messages of infidelity."

It was alleged that Abdullah Poyraz had subjected Hale Akbaş Poyraz to difficult days for a long time due to jealousy, which led to him quitting his job and not allowing her to leave the house.

HE WAS ARRESTED

After his statement to the prosecutor's office, Abdullah Poyraz was arrested by the court for the crime of "intentional murder" and sent to prison.
