A young man who suffered a heart attack on the soccer field has lost his life.

Selim Engin (28), who was playing a football match with his friends at a turf field in the Nusaybin district of Mardin, suddenly collapsed and fainted last night.

Health teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of his friends. Engin, who was determined to have suffered a heart attack, was taken to Nusaybin State Hospital by ambulance after the first intervention by the health teams at the scene. Despite all the efforts of the doctors here, Engin lost his life.

The young man's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy, and an investigation was initiated regarding the incident.
