A young man who went into a frenzy in Tekirdağ killed his sleeping mother and injured four other people.

The incident occurred around 03:00 at an apartment on Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak Street in the Fatih neighborhood. According to allegations, 17-year-old A.Ç., who was in a fit of rage, stabbed his sleeping mother, Nilay Ç., with a knife he took from the kitchen. A.Ç. then also injured his father, Murat Ç., and stabbed his uncle Gürcan Ç., his aunt Fatma Ç., and his grandfather Celil Ç. who were on the lower floor.

Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured received first aid at the scene, and they were later transported to the hospital by ambulance.
