WHAT IS THE TURKEY DISASTER RESPONSE PLAN?

The Turkey Disaster Response Plan (TAMP) is a national-level plan prepared to ensure preparedness, intervention, and coordination against disasters and emergencies that may occur throughout the country. TAMP aims to prevent time loss by pre-defining the responsibilities of institutions and organizations that will take part in potential disasters. The plan is structured through 26 main service groups, each with a responsible institution and supporting solution partners. These groups cover vital areas such as health, shelter, transportation, search and rescue, energy, and communication.

The primary goal of TAMP is to ensure a rapid, effective, and organized response from the very first moment of the disaster. With this plan, which is also implemented at the provincial level, the capacity of local governments to respond to disasters is increased, while the post-disaster reconstruction process is carried out in a more planned manner.
