Following the attacks by the US and Israel and Iran's retaliations, European countries have begun to take successive nuclear steps. After French President Emmanuel Macron's decision to expand the nuclear arsenal and strengthen Europe's nuclear deterrence, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that they would prepare to act more independently in this area in the future.

Tusk expressed that as Poland strengthens its own capacity, preparations will be made for it to act more independently in this area in the future. Tusk, who stated that they will cooperate with allies on this issue, especially with France, emphasized that he would also inform the cabinet about the negotiations related to the matter. Tusk noted that he would have the opportunity to discuss this issue with other European partners at the Nuclear Energy Summit to be held in Paris, the capital of France, this month.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced that he would expand France's nuclear arsenal and strengthen its deterrence, drawing attention to global developments. Macron stated that he would offer European allies the opportunity to participate in France's deterrence exercises.
Following Macron's announcement, Poland's Prime Minister Tusk shared on the social media platform of the US-based company X, "Poland is conducting talks with a group consisting of France and its closest European allies regarding the nuclear deterrence program. We are arming together with our friends so that our enemies will never dare to attack us."
