In a written statement from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that the Beijing administration is extremely concerned about the US-Israel attacks on Iran. The statement called on the parties to cease military actions, emphasizing that "Iran's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity must be respected."
The statement urged the parties to avoid further escalating tensions, to continue dialogue and negotiations, and to maintain efforts to preserve peace and stability in the Middle East.
US AND ISRAEL'S ATTACKS ON IRAN
While the negotiation process between Iran and the US continues, Israel and the US launched a joint attack on Iran in the early hours of the morning. The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that it had initiated a "preventive attack" on Iran. US President Donald Trump also announced that they had launched a "major operation" against Iran. The attacks targeted the capital Tehran, as well as Isfahan, Karaj, Qom, Tabriz, Shiraz, Bushehr, Kermanshah, and Ilam.
As Israel and Iran closed their airspace, a state of emergency was declared across Israel, and sirens were sounded. Warnings were issued directing the Israeli public to shelters before Iran's counterattacks. The Iranian army announced that it had launched counterattacks against Israel with dozens of ballistic missiles and drones in response to the attacks by the US and Israel. Iran targeted simultaneous US bases in countries such as Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan with missile attacks, while the US naval base in Bahrain was hit.
