THE LAST MEETING TOOK PLACE ON JULY 25
The delegation, composed of DEM Party members Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar, along with Asrın Law Office lawyer Faik Özgür Erol, last met with Öcalan on July 25.
Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan addressed the government during a rally held in Van over the weekend, asking, "Are the doors of Imralı a faucet in your hands? You open it for a month, then close it for a month? Is this how you take ownership of this process?" It is expected that during the visit, the delegation will provide Öcalan with information regarding the activities carried out by the parliamentary commission and the DEM Party related to the process. DEM Party Group Deputy Chairman Sezai Temelli, in a press conference held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly, stated in response to a question about the Imralı visit, "The likelihood of our delegation going to the Island this week is very high. It will most likely go. However, the exact day is not yet clear. Our delegation has not been able to go to the Island for about a month."
