In this context, the developments after the Call for Peace and Democratic Society, Turkey's democratization process, the meeting of the DEM Party Imralı Delegation with Mr. Abdullah Öcalan, and the congress decisions announced by the PKK on May 12 and the subsequent developments were discussed."



The statement also mentioned, "In the meeting, steps that need to be taken for the healthy progress of the process and the role that the Parliament will undertake were discussed, and mutual evaluations regarding the commission to be established were made. In the meeting, especially the expectations of the society and our party regarding the execution package, regulations concerning sick prisoners, and the legalization of these regulations before the holiday were clearly expressed.

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli called last week, "It is the most reasonable option to establish a commission with the participation of political parties representing all social segments," and defined the commission's goal as "to determine the roadmap for the upcoming period."



Bahçeli also stated that the name of the commission should be "Strategy for a Terror-Free Turkey in the New Century; National Unity and Solidarity Commission."
