Justice Minister Akın Gürlek announced on his social media account that following the armed attack carried out by 3 terrorists on the police station in Levent, Istanbul, simultaneous operations against the ISIS terrorist organization were conducted in 34 provinces under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices. Gürlek stated that actions were taken against 273 suspects during the operations and that 198 suspects were detained.
The Minister of Justice, Akın Gürlek, announced that simultaneous operations against the ISIS terrorist organization were carried out in 34 provinces in coordination with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices following the armed attack by 3 terrorists on the police station in Levent, Istanbul, yesterday.
198 SUSPECTS DETAINED
Minister Gürlek, who announced the development via his social media account, reported that actions were taken against 273 suspects during the operations, and 198 suspects were detained.
"OPERATIONS WILL CONTINUE WITH DILIGENCE"
In his statement, Minister Gürlek included the following remarks: “Following the armed attack by 3 terrorists on the police station in Levent, Istanbul, yesterday, simultaneous operations against the ISIS terrorist organization were carried out in 34 provinces in coordination with our Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices.
In the operations conducted in Adana, Afyonkarahisar, Antalya, Balıkesir, Batman, Çanakkale, Diyarbakır, Düzce, Eskişehir, Elâzığ, Erzurum, Erzincan, Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, Izmir, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Kırıkkale, Kilis, Kocaeli, Kütahya, Manisa, Mardin, Mersin, Osmaniye, Sakarya, Samsun, Sivas, Şanlıurfa, Trabzon, Van, Yalova, and Yozgat provinces, actions were taken against 273 suspects, and 198 suspects were detained.
